Fireworks are meant to be fun, but they’re even better when everyone stays safe. By following a few simple precautions like using the right lighting tools, keeping water nearby, supervising kids, and being mindful of pets and your surroundings, you can keep the celebration safe and stress-free.

- Read and follow the directions on the label.
- Wear eye protection.
- Have a responsible adult present at all times.
- Keep a water source nearby, such as a hose or bucket
- Use fireworks away from homes, brush, and anything flammable.
- Soak used fireworks in water before throwing them away.

- Don't re-light a dud.
- Don't shoot fireworks indoors.
- Don't throw or point fireworks at people.
- Don't carry fireworks in your pocket.
- Don't shoot fireworks from metal or glass containers.
- Don't give fireworks to small children.
